Edward J. Spencer, III

Edward (Ted) joined Mackenzie Hughes in 1981 and is now a partner in the firm. Ted’s primary areas of expertise are real estate, which includes residential and commercial, land use and zoning and municipal law. He has acted as counsel to various town and village boards and has also represented applicants appearing before municipal boards. Ted also handles contractual and regulatory compliance issues for a number of credit unions.

  • Member of the Onondaga County, New York State (Business, Municipal and Real Property Law Sections) and American (General Practice and Business Law Sections) Bar Associations
  • Member of the Civil Affairs Association and the Association of Graduates of the United States Military Academy
  • Volunteer at the Syracuse City Court, where he is a Small Claims Arbitrator
  • Member of the United States Army Reserves for 28 years and served in the Judge Advocate General Corps
